Massive indoor and outdoor local market spread through four hanger type buildings, brilliant for the locals to be able to do all of their shopping in one place, sells everything, bit overwhelming as possibly too much choice, which isn't a bad thing really. Great place...More

Whenever we go on a European city break, we head for thier central markets. Great value and all human life is there. People watching is a great pastime as well as learning more about the locals and not the multi-national view. The fish hall was...More

Typical market in four vast buildings, everything locals could wish for. The fish hall has every smoked fish imaginable. Good place to get out of the cold. Food and drink a bit on the expensive side for a market

You can plan to spend at least two hours there! Have a great meal (especially fish), have a drink, buy some souvenirs and you won’t regret it!

Interesting place. Some good bargains. A local woman said some areas are priced for tourists and others are cheaper. In fairness we noticed no difference. Everything in clothing was priced. Food was definitely cheaper than the city. Caution was advised to us by our latvian...More

We loved the market. You can find absolutely everything here and it is very cheap. Don't miss the great foodhalls inside. The stands on the outside are a bit of a labyrinth but very nice.
