“old town”(57 reviews)
One of the most magnificent buildings in Town Hall Square is the House of Blackheads (circa 1334 and rebuilt in 1995-99), which once hosted a brotherhood of foreign merchants and now serves as both a museum and concert hall.

I was expecting a lot more blackheads. There was only one. It was a pretty cool, building otherwise though.

Wow! This demonstrates a skill set that is no longer used in creating today’s buildings— true craftsmanship. A must see!

It feels like a must visit whilst in Riga, as such a focal point of the city, however you won't need more than an hour to see it. As a building that still used for practical uses like concerts it has limits. Worth visiting though!

Very nice place. I come from Brazil and the local citizen are very friendly. That day as in the summer time. Nice day with nice view.

The most spectacular building in Riga to see is this. The architecture and the vibrant colors of the front facade are amazing.

Entrance fee is 6€ to see the old basement with a lot of historical explanations, the ground floor and the amazing first floor with the big rooms.

Beautiful building in the Old city. The square has many gathered at any given time with musicians that one could listen to.
