If you don't have a car, don't want to take a cab, and don't want to walk all the way, you have to take a bus or trolleybus (e.g. 19, 40) to the stop (Zakusala) in the middle of the bridge on the island the...More

We visited the Tower in February, this was at the time when Riga was covered in snow. We caught the bus and had a walk from the bus stop to the tower, on a nice day this wouldn't have been too bad but on the...More

Before visiting the tower I've read some reviews and were a bit sceptical before visiting the tower for myself. However I went and was not disappoint. The tower is a hidden and neglected gem from a Soviet past. The entire infrastructure looks like is stayed...More

The TV-Tower is a good place to discover a good Viewpoint over Riga. I liked the view. To go up with the elevator in the special construction was a highlight too. There where not so many tourists. So it was perfect. I would commend this...More

Long walk from the bus stop in the snow but the view was worth it. No restaurant or refreshments at present as they are being refurbished but staff will make you a coffee and are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

What a load of old rubbish! I've been to lots of attractions similar to this one including London Eye, Paris Eiffel, Vilnius TV tower, and I have never seen any worst than this. The biggest attraction was to get to it. The road is absolute...More

It's definitely a superb height. You can see it from much of the area south of the city and along the river. You can also go up and take in a view on a long elevator ride. It would be nicer if they maintained it...More

We knew nothing of this before seeing it in Riga skyline. Always try to go up 'big pointy things' when visiting cities, so set off from hotel with tower clearly in view. Took us a while and started to doubt that it was open to...More

After visiting the Vilnius TV tower I thought that it's finally time to visit the one in my home city. The road leading there is mildly put, terrible. If you're going via public transportation, be prepared to walk as the closest bus stop is a...More
