We were taken well outside our comfort zone of the English Autumn on this visit to Jurmala Beach in November. I have never stood on on a snow covered beach and the Baltic Sea made for an unbelievable wind chill. Despite being so cold the scenery was spectacular with the beach looking endless. We didn't stay long but appreciated a... More

Jurmala is nice both in summer and in winter. Fresh sea air, pine trees.. Local people love to spend here weekends.

The beach area is so huge you can barely see the end of it. The beach is also surrounded by trees and some nice architectural buildings.

Impressivle wide beach on the LAKE shore. Yes lake, not see. I come here 5 times in last 5 years, and i never saw real sea waves. It really more like lake. Still beach is wide and clean.

it's easy to get there by train from Riga, it takes about 20min to the Majori train station. from there it's only a 5 minute walk. we visited the beach in the fall and although it was cold it was still a nice place to visit and see the long stretched beach of Jurmala.

We went to this beach in July! The sand was very soft and the sunset spectacular! Great places to eat nearby too and the kids enjoyed swimming there!

Beautiful beach, great for a long stroll, very relaxing, white sand, blue skies, can be a bit windy but that's what sea is about. Plenty of nice places near by to grab something tasty to eat

One of the best promenades on whole Baltic Sea, but be sure the day is very sunny - even in august water is really cold there, so wind will be not comfortable. Also be sure you are sun-protected, you can burn fast even in April.

Was nice and beautiful to walk on the beach even its autumn now . Old buildings, colorful trees, empty beach... Really relaxing
