Beach is not for summer only; winter walking is very exciting. There were fewer walkers than warm seasons. You can enjoy sounds of sea waves, winds in the quiet setting. It is like a walking meditation.

We had hoped to cycle on the beach as part of our ride to Jurmala and back from Riga. Sadly the blustery weather and tide had other ideas! Still a great place.

Watch out for jellyfish, but the water is warm and wonderful. Very spread out and quiet, but lots of sports and places to stop.
