Transports you to medieval times with gorgeous stone towers guarding the entrance and beautiful cobbled streets. Tallin is one of among best preserved medieval towns in Europe and this square is stunning!

The square is in the center of Tallinn and is defined by the medieval gates. It's a relaxing place to enjoy a beverage or continue exploring.

Basically at the end of the Old Town, these two towers (and I suppose there was a gate between them back in the time) mark a change to a more modern setup. A row of a dozen or even more flower shops extend after the...More

Probably most people visiting Old Town of tallinn enter this gate. Before the gate, there are a lot of flower shops that are breathtaking. It is worthwhile to visit there.

A large cobble stoned square with the old towers of the Viru Gates, was our exit from the Old Town. They have an ample selection of cafes and restaurants.

The square and the surrounding buildings are well preserved, so you really feel the medieval ages. The cafes and restaurants are overpriced and crowded.

This is one of several entrances / gates to Tallinn´s Old Town, although perhaps the liveliest with street performers, lots of shops and the omnipresent Golden Arches.

Lined with flower shops on one side and restaurants on the other this is a wonderful place to sit in the sun enjoying coffee or a meal. It is also great for people watching as it is a main entry into the old town.

This is in the old town and is a fairly large square with a fairy tale castle look. You have the flower market there and many restaurants and cafes. Those who are interested can go round in a horse drawn carriage. Most tourists flock to...More
