Of course, that would be hard to do considering that it has already stood for centuries and is destined to stand for centuries more. Separating both Lower town from Toompea and the Old Town from new, you can't miss it...literally!

While walking around the town you can experience large sections of the wall and get some amazing shots of the towers and vistas. Saw some artists displaying there work on the walls while walking around. Just soak in the walls and surrounding area.

The town wall is immense as you can imagine. I love the way buildings have been built into the wall, and the cafes you can find in it.

It cost us €3 to visit this place. Good clean stairs to climb to get a good view of the city. There are loads of photographers taking pictures around this wall

City walls are part of Tallinn's charm. And when you add suitcases filled with books to be borrowed around the walls, in the towers, you get a something rather unique!

Was very imposing - must climb to top - if do near Pompea palace be ready for the stairs (think an easier climb on other side of old town) - great views from top - and the wall appears in many locations around old town

There are free bits and bits that have a small charge. We paid for a small section because there were other things to see there,. You just need to wander around the town and everthing is clearly signed and you just stumble... More
