Interesting site

It was very interesting seeing the wall on the inside and the area where the guards used to do their watch. I wish it had a little more historical information.

This is one of my favorite towns in the world. Tallinn is such a cool place. The town wall surrounding the old town nicely separates it from the new and helps it keep its original feel. A must visit.

Whilst walking up to the top of the hill on the cobblestone street you pass by a stone wall decorated with the paintings by various artists. Some are quite good.

Old Town is an amazing place to spend some hours visiting the old buildings, squares, bars and restaurants.

This wall was first built in 1265 as a defensive wall and then expanded in the 14th century to enclose the entire town of Olde Tallinn. When you visit Tallinn you will come across this wall often. My wife and I took a cab from the cruise terminal up to Toompea Hill and you can see parts of the Wall... More

Most of this wall is still intact . This is must when visiting Tallinn as it represents their history. You can pay to walk parts of the wall. We payed three euros. Some parts of the wall are narrow and steep so be prepared for this. Has some beautiful towers as well . So worth a visit.

Entrance fee was €3. And money well spent. Climb al the narrow stairs to the top of the towers, and then walk to the next, and find your way out. Worth a visit.

This is quite essential if you are visiting the great city of Tallinn. We've been a few times, and never had the chance. This last time we managed to see and walk the old town wall. It really is quite amazing, but not ideal if you are scared of heights and climbing narrow steep stairs. They charge for it, and... More

Most of the town wall is still intact,in some parts you can pay to climb to the top and walk along the top of the wall which is well worth it.

The upper part of Tallinn was defensible as it sat high on a bluff reinforced with stone. The lower part was defensible as a walled city behind the town wall. Towers were built along the wall at intervals close enough for a continuous defense. The existence of this wall is why Tallinn survived. So its not just a wall. Its... More
