I really like the architecture and atmosphere in Rotermann quarter. It is amazing how well this style fits next to the old town. There are good shops and restaurants in the quareter. Definitely worth a visit if first time in Tallinn.

Not far from the seaport lies Rottermann Quarter. A great liquor store, a cheese shop (the only in Tallinn???) and great upscale places to eat. Romatic, hip and definitely a place where you can see where the new Tallinn is headed. I can't wait!

One of my favourites in Tallinn, great Quarter which is wonderfully restored - full of old charm, but still so modern ;). Interesting shops, great restaurants and bars. You easily spend there more time than you expected...

I had time to kill before my KGB tour in the Viru Hotel so I walked around the Rottermann Quarter for 30 minutes or so. There are some cute shops and restaurants in the area along with several indoor malls/shopping centers, but nothing that stood out. Most of the stores were chains. Sure glad I didn't make a special trip... More

This area is completely new and have everything good from modern design. The area is perfect for grabbing a lunch away from the hustle of the touristic area.

Wow-effect from the buildings - all of them are different and modern high-tech looking. Hipster place, some offices of advertising agencies, shops, cafes

Refurbished old factories house new shops and offices, the style is flawless and very imaginative, 2nd best only to the Old Town.

Yes there is some nice restaurants and shops, but to me still the Rotermann is a bit messy and missing something my favorite areas in Tallinn have. Great thing that the city has build cool new architecture on top of old Soviet warehouses and other ugly buildings. Points to that, but still not any of my favorite areas in town.

As an alternative to the Old Town this has a lot going for it, but not yet complete. Some great looking restaurants and high end shops, all within restored factory buildings.
