Pirita promenade is a nice wide area with amazing views of the port and old town. It is a relaxing walk on a nice day although I only went along it on the Hop on Hop off bus.

If you want to relax from city buzz then Pirita is the place. It's the place in Tallinn where you can actually see the sea. You can take long walk along the shoreline or go to Pirita beach. It's most relaxing part of Tallinn.

Ok, I get it in Estonia the wether isn't great and you have to make the best of what you have got. So it's a perfectly pleasant place sure enough but unless that's your best option you wouldn't be making a special trip here.

A muddy, shallow and dirty beach. There are about 150 meters to go into the sea before you can cover your belly button with water.

It's fine to have a walk there but it's not too special if there are other things to see and not much time.

This is what you have come to expect from Nordic public spaces. A clean, open beach, with facilitoes to sit, to change, to use toilets (incredibly clean) and to play. Views on the harbour and on the big cruise ships coming in and out premium....More
