Fantastic view

One of my favourite parts of my trip to Tallinn was enjoying the view from the top of the church. It is absolutely beautiful and worth the climb!

During a Sunday morning visit the church was very busy. Also we enjoyed some vocal singing and musical excerpts by differing nationalities and race. No really a pretty church the building has been well preserved and the important aspect is that it still remains a very active and working church.

This is a beautiful Old Town. It is the tallest church in Ireland, and in my opinion this is one of the most gorgeous. It is very old and has survived until now. There is also an observation deck with a wonderful view. It is also nice inside. There are images of God. This was the experience of fantstiline

The climb really is very tiring! Manoeuvring is difficult when people are coming the other way- and that's for the observation deck and the climb. There is meant to be a one way system for the top of the tower but this isn't marked too clearly- we bumped into a few people going the wrong way. Fantastic view.

Inside a modest decoration but definitely worth a look. The great fun was being able to climb the tower. No need to be an athlete but it is a bit of a climb through narrow staircases. In case of opposite "traffic" you need a bit of coordination to be able to pass each other. We were determined to count the... More

Climb the spiraling stairway to the top of the church and enjoy an amazing view of Old Town (and catch your breath, because it's quite a climb!)

You will see the city and sea from the top. Nice city view just for 2 euro. But be careful when you climb up - it is super narrow and slippery, and there is not enough space to move if you meet somebody coming from the opposite direction.

A nice church, I can't personally remember as much of it as I've been through so many when I returned that stood out, everywhere I went in Tallinn though was amazing.

This used to be the highest church tower in Europe for a couple of hundred years in te Middle Ages and now, if the weather is fine, it's possible to climb up the tower and enjoy magnificent views of the centre of Tallinn and the sea from there. However, you have to be relatively fit to do it as it's... More
