Stopped here on a walking tour around old and new Tallinn. The Cathedral is beautiful and is distinctly Russian in design. Definitely worth a visit.

Really, really beautiful church, this. The outside is gorgeous, and I simply don't have the language skills to describe how beautiful the interior is. I really can't recommend a visit here highly enough!

My wife and I saw this chuck on a tour, but didn't go inside. The building was quite impreeive and one of the things I remember about Estonia.

This cathedral stands atop the hill at the edge of old town. It is not like anything else we've seen with its bulbous black roof. The inside is nice but the views from the outside are just as good.

This 150 year old church is adorned inside with lots of Christian murals in done in gold . It is frequented by locals too and men have to take off caps and go bare headed . Faitfuls also light candles in the church /

29th January 2017. Impressive looking outside with its Onion domes topped with gold crosses. It looks huge, but like a reverse Tardis it seems much smaller inside. Huge plain vaulted ceiling; lots of gilt candlesticks and icons, but somewhat underwhelming after the the expectation raised by the outside.
