Fresh food for real people
Jun. 2020
Easy to get to on the bus. In season veg and fruits. Meats as well. Lots of clothes and even a flea market. Get lost in the stalls. Outside the market, on the weekend, are people selling everything and anything on the sidewalk.

Interesting experience but not really a shopping area for tourists
Jun. 2019
The market has many kinds of products: clothes, electronics, plants, fruit, food with a somewhat cheap price. We bought some good nuts and wool products there.

I have never seen such a large selection of fruits and vegetables in one place. Everything is fresh, tasty and inexpensive!

The biggest Market in Vilnius center
Aug. 2018 • Couples
If you like visit farmers market,- this market is for you. Here you find a lot of season fruits, vegetables, flowers, national bread, cottage cheese, honey, dried and smoking meat products. Here you can taste all products before buying them.

Fresh and cheap and nice
Mar. 2017 • Solo
When prices are rising like crazy in supermarkets in Lithuania, here you can still find bargains but fresh and of good quality fruit, vegetables, other food products as well as high-quality and affordable clothing. Every month market is getting nicer and nicer, a significant part of it is already renewed, I think the rest will be renovated soon.

Typical soviet-era market
Feb. 2017 • Solo
Although management team is gradually changing the way the market looks and operates it still has the 'Soviet-era' look and feel. So if you are young and don't know what it is be quick to check it out.

It is far from bazaar in the Middle East but I can buy fresh meet, dairy products and veggies here. Just be aware it is closed on Monday and Saturday is always crowded.

And watch your bags, pickpocketing is common.

Big market
Nov. 2016 • Couples
A very big market, many clothes, socks, hats, and much more. Also vegetables, potatoes. It is cold and snow, but everything is open.

A good local place if you know what you are doing
Jul. 2016 • Solo
If you have your food sellers that you buy everything from daily, then this place is very nice. First-timers might be tricked with prices and/or quality. Meat, veggies and berries (when in the right season) is a much better choice than buying from the suppermarket. As time passes by, the market gets more and more sophisticated (including a general renovation in progress of all the buildings being), so you can see a tourist here and there with a camera, but still quite unique. Not so nice regarding clothing though, as mostly everything is low quality. Flea market is just ouside this market (as they don't want to pay the taxes, I guess) :)

A locals market
Jun. 2016 • Couples
Walk across the Kalvariju street bridge to the other side of the River Neri, to Kalvargu where there is a predominantly Russian speaking market (approx.15 minutes away). Quite small and mainly open air with a quaint atmosphere like living in a bygone era. Meat, veg, fish and hard goods. Good place to buy cigarettes and tobacco and locally prodcuded goods such as cake and honey from the indoor food market.

Sunday vegetables
May 2016 • Couples
Good place to buy some fresh herbs and vegetables on weekends. Not that authentic anymore. After reconstruction losing its old soul. But more clean now.
