Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We downloaded a map of major events in the large and small ghetto during the Holocaust from Revilna.org. That allowed us to trace the events and see many of the remaining streets and buildings that remain. It was very admirable how the victims kept a spirit of hope alive even during Aktions like the Jom Kippur round up.Oscar Glik was a true hero-using fake papers to employ jews until he was discovered and shot.

A small memorial to the city's sadder more recent history - easy to miss. I was expecting something more.

The map is displayed on a wall and due to its grey colouring is not that easy to read. The area itself is quite interesting and if you call in at the Jewish Centre of Culture and Information,at the opposite end of the square, the lady there is very helpful and will give you all the information that you need.

The map itself isn't impressive but marking the site of a Jewish ghetto is important. Vilnius was the Jerusalem of the north before WW2 but the population was decimated during the holocaust. A must see area of Vilnius.

If you didn't know what you were looking for it would be very easy to miss this map depicting the old Jewish ghetto. It's strange to see this now on the wall of a coffee shop in the middle of the city, but the location makes it all the more poignant.

The maps -notice the road names as you walk. Look at the buildings- some of them seem about to fall down, but we must remember their inhabitants. The old photos on Zemaitijos Gatve were found in a building in the ghetto - young faces looking at the camera with open expressions. We must remember.

On the site of the former gate to the larger of Vilnius’ two ghettos, you will find a map showing the area where the city’s Jewish population were kept before liquidation commenced.

There are at least two plans of the Jewish settlement around
Vilnius: I guess I found the smaller one. This is a poignant
reminder to the racial atrocities committed in this very area,
many years ago. A sad reminder of a troubled past.

Little remains in the streets of old town apart from plaques on walls telling the awful story of the genocide of the jews in WW2 after being kept in ghettos which were destroyed after the war. Glass blower building at spot wete they once existed
