We saw this on the map and thought 'right, we have to go see what that's all about'!! TBH, it's just Frank Zappa's head on a very tall column - nothing else to see, but I like the fact it's just randomly there & the...More

It is not just a monument to Frank Zappa, who has none whatsoever connection to Lithuania, never even been there. It is a monument to and symbol of the first heady and in many ways crazy first years of regaining independence in Lithuania. I have...More

FZ never came to Lithuania however he represented the liberties that the freedom under independence brought. Nothing more than what you see in the picture, but worth a slight detour on your down town wanderings. Located near the KGB museum. Thanks for the vote if...More

Just slightly off the beated trail. Being a Zappa fan I just had to see it while there. Statue is not that big, but it just blows my mind that it's there at all. My travel date for seeing this is not what appears because...More

Although Frank Zappa never even visited Lithuania, group of local artists and his fans made this nice monument to honor him. Beautiful and somehow zen place, surrounded by residential buildings.
