The collection is wide enough, there are some pretty details, like a big lens to look at the insects inside amber pieces, or naming of amber in different languages. Nice bijou, a lot of colors, including the rare types of amber.

I would have never picked this as a place to visit. However it was part of my private tour of Vilnius and it turned out to be amazing. As you walk in you are actually in the store. Displayed is a full array of jewelry made from the many varieties of amber. Amber is in abundance in the Baltic countries.... More

This museum ould only be of interest to a geological specialist or someone totally fascinated by amber. But it informed of very little other than the prices of the great grange of pieces they had on display.

Visit here, because you get quality jewellery with an authentication certificate. Lots of interesting items to buy, some pretty expensive but then that's nothing to someone with a large wallet!

This is a nice little museum/gallery. All of the guides spoke very good English and were very friendly. For the small fee of €0.60 (and you get to choose a free postcard) you can see displays of Amber and hear a description of how the different colors were formed 50 million years ago. The guide will also explain how you... More

This is a pretty nice museum which one should visit if there's time. I've certainly learnt a lot about ambers after the visit to this museum. There are amber products on sale too onsite if one is keen.

I am afraid that this quite nice Museum is being mixed up with the really tawdry one a few doors down. We saw tourist groups enter that one (it is a store, with a small shabby exhibit downstairs), and when we asked, we were told that they are the Amber Museum. Nonsense. As we walked up the street, we saw... More

The amber is very special for Lithuania, and this small museum shows some really nice amber. The cellar is so cool, we liked it and it was free, perfect

Costs €0.60 to get in, and includes a post card. The museum is very small and includes a few displays of types of Amber, Amber with bugs in, and Amber artwork. The woman there is very knowledgable and is happy to talk, and there is a display where you can feel a lump of it. Not much is written though.... More
