Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Kot o twarzy gentlemana to część miejskiej legendy o rzeźbach spełniających marzenia.
The cat with a gentleman's face is a part of the urban legend about sculptures making dreams come true. The cat's sculpture is unique because it only fulfills women's wishes and to guarantee them happen, its tail should be stroked 😂 Both the tail and the whole cat are pretty strange in shape, the male face brings mixed feelings, nevertheless I believe that you can never have too much happiness(in each sphere of your life) so it's worth visiting and petting the cat's tail.

Nice sculpture, whimsical and kinda humorous but nothing more.
For sculpture-vultures I recommend you take a 15 minute walk to the Sculpture Garden (located opposite the Ararat Guest House).
A very wide range of art, from the sombre through to the thought - provoking if not mystifying.
If you're into Lithuanian sculpture, a 'must'.
En-route is an interesting selection of older houses and buildings, some quite fascinating.

We love cats, so we thought we would try to find the cat statue. It was marked on our tour map of the old town. We were a bit disappointed. Thought it was rather ugly. Certainly not well light in the afternoon. Don't go out of your way for this one. But the little mouse statue is not too far, that I recommend seeing!

Klaipeda is known for its small whimsical street sculptures which are delightful and demonstrate a great sense of humor on the part of city planners. They are also beautifully crafted and you come upon them almost as a surprise. This sculpture is also known as "the cat with a man's face." It looks like he has a moustache.

This "Cat" never existed in Old Klaipeda - it was created and burnished to look old, complete with the "shiny, worn areas, as if it had been rubbed for decades - but was actually created for tourists, to imitate some of the real things found throughout the rest of Europe/

Old Town Cat" or you can call it "A cat with gentleman face" started to live in Klaipėda Old Town from 1979. Sculpture is made from granite and bronze, located on Blacksmith street.
Sculpture of "A cat" is one of many Klaipėda cities miraculous Old town inhabitants, also it is being said that sculpture is magical - rub his tail, and you secret wishes will come truth.

Cats have nine lives but this one had only used four.
Touch the head and tail snd make a wish.
Legend says it will come true (not sure when).
Kinda fun.

Many sculptures scattered about and this is a good one. Apparently the cat has lost a few of its lives from various accidents (like cars) but in its current location it seems well protected and happy.

Not fan of cats, so I did not bother sculpture hunt for this one, but we accidently passed it. Decent sculpture tough. But if you like different and interesting sculptures, Klajpeda is just a place for you. they are all over the town.

Once you start to visit all the sculptures around the city there is the cute looking cat to find. He is situated just around the corner from the mouse! He is a cute cat with a human looking face.
