This museum is housed is a very nice 19th century building that was once the governor's palace, and this is the most interesting thing about it. The museum itself is too focused on past presidents, and the upstairs gallery presents the work of a marginally...More

It was very cold so we wanted to visit anything. Have to say after being round in Lithuania and read a bit already no big surprises here. Was a bit bored and building itself is not impressive at all. You easily pass it by.

If you are in the area it is well worth a visit if only to learn the History of the country. Kaunas used to be the capital before it was replaced by Vilnius.

The Palace was closed when we went on a Sunday afternoon, but walking around the grounds and seeing the outdoor displays was just lovely.

We saw the outside of the palace and looked a bit at the photo exhibition there what made our walk through Lithuania a little bit more interesting. We couldn't enter the building, though.

During a walk around the very small old town of Kaunas you'll stumble across this impressive palace. The museum is of limited interest and I was hustled out because it closes at 5pm. The large horse chestnut tree outside yields excellent fruits - if you...More

I never entered the building, I only walked around in the park and watched a photoexhibition. But I liked the relaxing atmosphere as this parked could afford.
