Kaunas castle is located by a crossing of two rivers. The castle itself is not very impressive, but the exhibition was worth visiting.

Yet another castle. Couldn't go in as there was a wedding going on. Lots of people taking pictures in. Nice picnic place and a local market place right next to it.

Straight out of fairytales or a GoT set, the Kaunas castle will stun you. When I visited, folks were unsetting a scene, cultural events being set on these gorgeous grounds. Only a small part of the original castle stands, so the visit is quickly done....More

Visited in the middle of a public holiday when everything was shut The castle is small but quite interesting from the outside You can walk round the walls but there is not a lot of information about the castle on the sign

Most of the castle was close but overall there is not much to see here. Be aware that safety is not a paramount issue in Lithuania. Watch your step!!

In Kaunas for a quick visit while riding motorcycle through the country. A lot of people, happy place to be. Good service in general and everyone is nice. A lot to see and experience.

Kaunas Castle was once the border fortress between the Russian empire and Prussia across the river. Our Road scholar group was not able to visit inside, but the exterior is impressive.
