Out of season but helpful response

There really is not a great deal to see or do in Kaunas in November and the Tourist Centre was very quiet but the staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Information materials in English were limitted. Poorly understaffed to take care of incoming visitors.

We literally came there to ask probably the most basic questions about the city and we got nothing concrete for the answer. Our research on Internet about places to visit was more successful than those fifteen minutes spent in the tourist information centre.

Just get your map from here if you did not do that already on your way to the center (there are information at the main bus station).

It does not seek to understand what might be of real interest and is very badly written (why can't those responsible ask a person whose first language is English... More

The Tourist Centre on Laisves is helpful and friendly. They are very good. However, the people at location on the town hall square (Rotuses) were pleasant but NOT helpful. On two different occasions I asked a specific question and later learned they had given me incorrect information. First, they were unaware of any special events for the national holiday and... More

We asked about getting a train/bus to the capital, and weren't able to give us much help at all. Bought several bits and when we got back to the hotel, found they were cheaper. + in the old town, no disabled access!

It is always good to have bussiness with them. You can get a guide for Kaunas county and even more. Location is the heart of the city.

We parked near here one Saturday on a day trip to Kaunus and went in to ask for information. The lady there was very pleasant and very willing to help but.... One question we had related to parking as when we tried to put in coins, the parking meter gave us the message "It is not possible to pay now... More
