Beautifully calm

Calm and peaceful place surrounded by forest and Kauno Marios. It's a great place to go when weather is warm.

This is one of two surviving Lithuania monasteries and churches ensembles. The most important element of the ensemble - the church. Pažaislis church and monastery built in the seventeenth and eighteenth century.

We were lucky people - we listen in open air near this monastery to a concert. First we walk around the monastery - quiet, not many people, good foothpath....

Visited this monastery with friends in June. We had a guide. It is absolutely amazing complex of buildings, with very rich history, exclusive interior and exterior, paintings bringing up historical moments from the Bible. Everything was made by the best artists from Italy and other countries. Amazing how much Pacis family invested at that time. And then you start thinking... More

It was my first time visiting a monastery so I was not sure exactly what to expect. There were three of us in our group and when we arrived at the restaurant, we were informed that there was a separate entrance for the monastery visit. Upon reaching the office, we paid 4 euros each as entrance fees and were provided... More

Was taken here as part of a bus tour where we stopped the tour for an hour to allow us to wander into the monastery which was absolutely breath-taking.

Stayed in their "4-star" hotel room. I recommend bringing your own shampoo and soap, and not expecting to be able to see the grounds. It was rather deserted, the parking lot was a local hang out, and the rooms were eerily stark.

This is the most magnificent example of Italian Baroque architecture, with an exclusive architectural solutions used for the first time in Europe: a hexagonal church plan, and a concave facade. unfortunately it is not possible to take photographs inside. Perhaps one of best sites to visit in Lithuania! Recommended.

Amazing sorroundings and a beatyful and quiet place, Be sure to come there on one of the days where the public has acces to the church and the garden. Only a few meteres to the lake below.. perfect for a walk on ice during the wintertime
