I have been at the theater several times to see ballet and opera. Together with the Cathedral they guard the soul of the historical center of the city. Excellent scheduling and calendar of events.

I paid 10 euros for a top price seat to see Rigoletto and had a box to myself. The theatre was only a quarter full. Word about the totally hilarious and bizarre staging of Verdi's work had clearly got around. But the view of the...More

The best view of this lovely building is from the small park with the fountains in the foreground. It is exquisitely decorated with statues on top of the balcony above. A throw back to Victorian times and worth a look.

Although the outside is still undergoing renovations, the inside was beautifully presented and took you back in time to a previous century with crimson upholstery and gilded detailing. I watched the ballet "Spartacus" and was enthralled. The staff were very helpful and gracious to a...More

Over 100 years old but looks older and great for photos. It is just next to the cathedral Saint Elizabeth and proposes a very diverse program changing almost everyday. A gem of Kosice.
