The statue is located in a market in the old town of Kosice and dates back to the middle ages, being dedicated to the end of the plague in the town. It is a must see if you visit the old town of Kosice.
The statue adds to the charm and Olde-world atmosphere of the main tourist street in Košice. Lovely restaurants surround the area. Go at night so that you can see the dancing fountains light up at dark.
