We saw this during the mid-90's and again experienced it this week. So much progress on the restoration! All signs are bi-lingual, Slovak and English. Wonderful history and wonderful views of Austria and Slovakia from the ramparts.

Although closed by the time we got there @5 we walked around the outside and were amazed by the ruins. The view of the Danube is amazing. Please double check the seasonal hours as I don’t think what is posted is correct.

This castle is build on a hill over Danube and Morava rivers junction and it offers amazing view over the countryside and two rivers of what seems like different colors at the junction. Castle partly renovated offers peaceful walk up and down.

Hi, I'm not sure if you can book in advance but it any case it's never that busy. The ticket booth was empty when we went mid morning and will only take you a minute or so to buy tickets. Enjoy!
