The hike is fairly easy at the beginning but at hte end it gets a bit technical for average folk. Even tough there are still a lot of people with minimal mountaineering experience and they seemed to be able to do that all. There are fixed ropes at the upper part that will have ques at some point. Few rockfalls... More

It is 4.5 Hour quite strenuous hike from Štrbské pleso but totally worth of it - of course if the weather is good. I had i guess the Best possible weather-warm, little wind, sky without clouds so then it is necessary to count on crowds of people going there as well. Cottage under Rysy is well maintained by guys with... More

We climbed in July from the Polish side and descended on the Slovakian so we could enjoy both routes and had a good comparison. The Polish is the more challanging one with more steep parts and chains, so it's good I went there. Unfortunately, there is a roughly 9 km walk on asphalt road at the beginning or you can... More

We climbed Rysy on 28th November in full winter conditions & wow what a climb and a great experience. When I was researching it, there is very little information in English out there so here goes. From flying into Krakow/Katowice, I would recommend staying in Zakopane the night before. Driving to the start point is quite easy and will take... More

Wow, wow and one more time wow. The best hike, this hike made me fall inlove with hiking. Of course it was hardcore for the first time. Yet I don't mind. The view was just spectacular. My friends and I organized the trip to Tatrai and we just decided to hike in Rysy. Sure it wasn't easy, but when you... More

My school had organized a journey to the High Tatras, which included a trip to the Slovakian Rysy, and I'm so happy that I took the chance and went to that camp. Of course it was hard to hike up about 10 kilometers on the thousands of rocks, but it did worth it. And there were a lot of people... More

We did the hike at 6am departing from Morskie Oko on the Polish side . It was a great hike, I consider myself an amateur and this hike was very challenging. I made it to the top despite looking over 800m cliff faces. The way down was as difficult because it began to drizzle but again great fun. You must... More

We started our hike early in the morning (about 7am). All hike took quite a lot of time and was quite challenging but was definitely worth it when we reached the top of Rysy. View from the top as well as all the way up is breathtaking!!! Unfortunately, by the time we reached the top it was so cloudy and... More
