This small museum, tucked away within Castle Hill, has a great collection of 20th century Hungarian art. I was the only tourist in the museum that Saturday afternoon.

Please, be aware, that the museum is located in the Erzsébet Park, on Erzsébet sétány, not on the castle hill and not on the Megyeháza tér, as suggested by other reviewrs or by the present description of this listing. I hope it will be corrected....More

The museum is really good and when we were there it contained an excellent exhibit on World War I. There were original photos, newspaper clippings about the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand and his wife, uniforms of nurses, doctors, soldiers, clerics, etc. This was very informative....More
