Can go at an appointed time in combo with the cathedral or as a standalone. Either way, don't miss it. It is an educational, thought-provoking and eye appealing trip through Catholicism in Hungary dating back 1000 years. Be sure to see the area kept secret...More

I was at the wine tasting in a cellar very close to the cathedral ( Puspoki Magtar). It is very nice place, the cellar is underground and i mostly like Cabernet frank 2011 from Villanyi.

The Bishop still lives here, so to protect the carpets, they ask that you don clunky mukluks before embarking on the tour. But it's worth it. The tour was interesting, and unlike in most chateaus in Europe, they let you freely take photos. Nice furnishings...More

The Bishop's Palace is of medieval origin. Its form today is Baroque from the 18th century. There is an important Library in the building.

Don't miss the obvious Franz Liszt sculpture above the entrance. It's our favorite part of this attraction. In side you'll find info and artifacts about the lives of Bishops and of the interiors of the Bishop’s Palace open to the general public. Should take you...More

Bishop's Palace goes back to the 12th Century. You won't be able to miss the light hearted statue of Franz Liszt on the balcony...it almost looks like he is leaning over the railing to welcome someone.

With his long hair and relaxed look, for all intents and purposes, Liszt could be a contemporary of young people of today. The expression, demeanor, and pose speak volumes about the composer as a person. I am thinking he was a wild and crazy kind...More

Bishop's Palace is left from the Cathedral. For me, the most interesting part of it is balcony with figure of Ferenc Liszt; composer and piano player. The sculpture comemorates his visit to Pecs in 1846 when he stayed in the Palace as the guest.
