In all honesty, we only went to Esztergom so we could walk over the bridge to Slovakia. We weren't disappointed - there was something rather exciting about crossing the border on foot.

Whilst in Esztergom we decided to cross the great Danube to Slovakia. The bridge affords spectacular, photogenic veiws of the basilica. However, it doesn't afford much shelter in a thunderstorn as we found out on our return :-)
