A delightful surprise in the village along the Danube River. Enjoyed the hilltop views, tranquil setting, and beautiful Basilica. We walked up from the town's shopping street. All free entrance.

It's totally worth the visit. You are not in esztergom for the bars and night life. It's part of the history of the place and a must.

I visited the art museum in the castle just to escape the 40 degree heat. Inside there was ac so it was nice and cool. But I found Hungarian paintings very dark and depressing, maybe it has to do w its history. It was constantly...More
