This is a must see location if you are visiting Eger. Very reasonable entry price to the museum of a Guinness World recorder master pastry chef, all kinds of artworks and items including an entire room (floor to ceiling) made out of marcipan.

We really couldn't believe our eyes when we entered this small unassuming place and realized that all the items depicted are made of sugar, marzipan and other edible ingredients. Lajos Kupcsik is an artist who manages to depict his art in an unusual material and...More

Sorry, I don't want to pull down anyone because it's very subjective review... I do believe that the confectioner is a very talented person and make a lot of errors to create this products. But I don't see this "museum" nice neither interesting. You can...More

Marcipania (marzipan land) is a somehow misleading name for a museum where every single exhibited item is made without almond but who cares? Huge Eger wine bottle, Easter eggs, matrioshka dolls, paintings, embroidered pillows and a whole Baroque living room made of sweets... Three and...More

This is an interesting place, you can get a glimpse of this Guinness-record holding confectioner's artistic mind. There are music instruments, buildings, everyday objects and even paintings made of sugar dough. An interesting museum, it is worth to check it.

I was totally impressed with this museum. I have to admit that my wife almost had to drag me here. After all who wants to see a bunch of stuff made from sugar? However, the displays in the museum definitely are not cheesy "stuff" but...More

I saw this museum in various guides for Eger and had one last stop for the day. We were not disappointed! It was a small, intimate museum, with a lot to see. It is so much more impressive if you remember all was made with...More

Even if you don't like too much macipan, it is interesting to walk around and admire, what people can form from a delicasy.
