The construction is all outside so seeing the interior is not a problem but getting there is. Be patient and persistent and you’ll enjoy a reverent experience. We were lucky to see a young man propose to his sweetheart while in the Basilica.

Impressive building. Both in size and in the beauty inside. Beautiful stained glass, big columns and big arches are dazzling. Definitely worth visiting.

The Basilica looks stately from the outside with a wide flight of steps going up to the entrance but the façade was not as grand architecturally as many other cathedrals in Europe. The inside however showed more refined details and artistic workmanship and would be...More

A large structure with many columns, painted to look like marble. There are some impressive alcoves and paintings. It was fairly empty and quiet.
