Bus number 21 or 21A from Szell Kálmán to Norfama for 450Ft then a 20 minute walk along a slightly inclined very peaceful tarmac surface road through the woods takes you to the top of the chairlift. They are doing some re-sculpting of the terminal...More

This is a great basic chairlift. It is so quiet and peaceful travelling up to the top. The trip back down is also quiet and then you have the added bonus of the views across Budapest. At the top there is opportunities for some walks...More

I loved the Libego in Hungary. You can easily take a tram and a bus from Szell Kalman Ter (about 20-25 min overall time) and get right to the entrance of this chairlift. It takes you uphill first, then downhill (best view) and is one...More

We took the chairlift back down after a round trip involving the cogwheel railway/Children's railway and Elizabeth lookout tower. I recommend doing the chairlift up and then walking down to the railway if you struggle with hills! My poor parents (in their 70's) round the...More

It was a marvellous experience for the family. The way up is nice, quiet and relaxing. The way down has the most beautiful views of Budapest. The staff at the counter at the top were friendly. A smiley photo is taken right before the end...More

A 40 minute bus journey from down-town brings you to zugligeti libegö chairlift. It is an old fashioned 2 seater lift connecting Zugliget and János Hill. János Hill is the tallest of the Buda hills, it rises to 528m. From the tower on top of...More

This is a really wonderful way to enjoy the day. The roundtrip chairlift fare for myself and my daughter was around $13 USD and so worth it. This is just an old fashioned chairlift that takes you up the side of a hill that overlooks...More

This is a great activity to do when in Budapest. The views of Buda are lovely and it’s very relaxing. Going up and down is very reasonable as it’s quite a hike up, but on my last trip I went up via the children’s railway...More

We travelled from the city centre on public buses. We got the number 16 bus to Szell Kalman Ter and then picked up the 155 to Bela Kiraly Ut. Then it's just a short walk up the hill - enjoy! :)
