Having visited Budapest in December the Danube River is still awesome when one considers how many countries it passes through in Europe. The best view I found of the river was from the Chain Bridge crossing over the Danube from Buda to Pest. There are river cruises available at a reasonable fee as well as dinner cruises. The river was... More

Danube river flowing through the city of Budapest, splits the city in 2 different parts. It has a very wide bank area, and looks great. On a Sunny day with the Chain Bridge, The Parliament and the Palace up on the mountain visible at a glance from the bank of the river, makes it a worthwhile visit. Recommended for anyone... More

Boat which goes from Pontoon 7 was wonderful. We went on the sightseeing and dinner trip. "Magnificent" is all I can say.

All I can say, is that walking by the amazing Danube river in Budapest section though, you will have it all; either with you lover, or going jogging or looking for the traces of history, you will have it all. Do not forget to be there once in daytime and once at night when the shimmering lights drive you crazy... More

If you travel to Budapest be sure not to miss a stroll with a boat on the Danube river at night, were you can also serve dinner. The views are great as the city is all light up.

Well worth doing this at night time to see the buildings lit up, the only minus thing was we got the last boat which did not stop at Margarets island.
