A beautiful statue to St Stephen near the Fishermans Bastion just off Trinity Square. Not sure I would go just for this statue but the general area is well worth visiting.

It gives a wonderful site of the city, and you can also visit the church, which is a great peace of architecture.

A huge and well designed statue of the city's Saint. It completes the aristocratic theme of the place.

This statue is located in Buda side. Between fishermans bastion and Matthew church. You can access it by tram from Pest side and then take a local bus

Between the Matthias Church and Fisherman's Bastion stands a statue of the first christian king of Hungary, St. Stephen. He is shown mounted on a horse, atop a pedestal. Very well placed on the square. Enjoy the view, we sure did.

Located high on castle hill is a perfect spot for the country's patron saint. It's located in the square near the castle and cathedral overlooking the city. There is a lot to see in this area, but don't miss this statue!

Sitting square in the middle of an open square on Castle Rock is this perfectly placed statue of the country's patron saint.Adjacent to the fisherman's bastion-take a moment to enjoy it.

All around the statue is very well preserved and a must see. Its part of the long history of the country. Enjoy an impressive view one the Duna and Pest from Buda side. Here you can easily spend 2-3 hours before you have seen all.

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
