Stopped by on a recent trip. Other than one or 2 nice picture opportunities, it is not worth a trip over just for this attraction. General free to walk around and cheap to go part way up in the main building, it is a good...More

Vajdahunyad Castle is just amazing. Situated in Varosliget park at the back of Heroes' Square. It is on an island but no water in the moat at present. Simply magical castle. Lovely architecture. Christmas market is there at the moment too.

This Castle has many styles from the Middle Ages to the 18th century: Romanesque, Gothic Renaissance, Baroque. It also has a few interesting statues.

Went to a walk in that park and those buildings added so much magic to it. I didn't went inside them, but if you enjoy great architecture and it's details then you are in for a treat.

We loved the character of these old buildings. The castle with it's turrets and towers to the quaint chapel. When we visited the Christmas Market had just begun.

It must be possible... Gates are open. No guards. No tickets. No security. The tour is all free. People walking around freely. And wedding photos must be free/possible too (I assume, I guess).

You can book the tower tours as you enter the museum (although I would not bother with the gate tower as there is really not much to see). We just went and paid for what we wanted on the day and there was no problem with... More
