My friends and I were visiting Budapest, strolling in the park when we cam across this gem. Its a very pretty area with lots to see and nice walks around. A nice peaceful place so close to the city centre.

Although not one of the top tier sights of Budapest, it is well worth the trip. First, the entry is through the Heroes Square, which is great, and the Botanical Gardens are adjacent which is nice, as is the zoo. One of the highlights, which I don't know if it is always there, was a fair with excellent food, drink... More

I wouldn't make special trip to see this but if you are visiting other attractions near by it's worth a stop.

Castle is stunning from outside. There is anonymous statue in front of it. there is tower tour you can buy tickets for. It is closer to Heroes square. You can see it from Heroes square as well.

Located just behind Heroes Square, you get to Vajdahunyad Castle. A nice place to have a walk in the gardens and you can also see Anoymous Monument. There is also the Hungarian Agriculture Museum in here.

We visited during the Easter weekend which was when there was a wonderful market in and around the castle. Beautiful place and very close the Heroes' square.

Visited this castle over the Easter weekend and was pleasantly surprised to see an Easter market in the castle courtyard. The atmosphere was fantastic with the festive market surrounded by this gorgeous castle.

I have never been inside the museum but I've walked across it many times. It's a really beautiful building that has been built in many different styles. It's also a nice place to have picnic next to the castle.

Beautiful to walk around at night! Strolling through city park we stumble across this gem that we weren't expecting to be open to the public at night.

Thank Julie A
