This castle is placed in a very beautiful and calm park surrounded by water (unfortunately when I was there the well was dry). Take your time to visit pay also a visit to the anonymous statue that is inside of the castle wall.

If you can ignore the convoy of drunk groups riding around on bikes singing Dolly Parton then this place is very cool! Part of the gothic style building is based on Draculas Castle and we enjoyed walking around trying to find the Bela Lugosi statue!...More

We had a surprisingly good experience here because of the Easter market/fair. The castle is beautiful no doubt. But it stands out because it is unique , the architecture is not standard its a mix of a lot of styles. ( it looks spooky too)....More

This is ok, but not the greatest. If you're in the park and going to Schezenyi baths or near Heroes sq, then head over, but wouldnt go out your way to view this.

The castle is located in the large park area at the end of Andrassy street. While you cannot get inside the castle, there is much to see outside. We liked the spooky Anonymous statue and there was a large wedding going on at the church...More

I have quite an extent of European travel, and love anything like this, but I have to say that this castle is without a doubt the most spectacular and jaw-droppingly beautiful place I have ever, EVER seen. We stumbled across it quite by chance whilst...More

It’s located nearby the Széchenyi Thermal Bath and the Heroes Square. 1-2 hours of walking is enough for you to walk around the Castle. There is a Museum of Agriculture inside the Castle, but you need to pay the admission fee for the entrance (around...More

a castle without real history except that was built out of national pride. Very nicely locater and very interesting architecture, rather unique as a combination of styles. Housing a Museum of Agriculture?!!! Buildings so beautiful that could find better use....

We came for a quick visit after going to the Szechnyi baths. There's lovely coffee and cake to be had in the little cafe and the beautiful building is well worth a slow walk around. Don't forget to look up; most of the amazing sculpture...More

Although it does t take long to walk through. It’s worth a visit because the architecture is really something worth seeing. It’s like stepping back into time. There is a museum of agriculture there as well which we didn’t go in. But from the outside...More

It must be possible... Gates are open. No guards. No tickets. No security. The tour is all free. People walking around freely. And wedding photos must be free/possible too (I assume, I guess).

You can book the tower tours as you enter the museum (although I would not bother with the gate tower as there is really not much to see). We just went and paid for what we wanted on the day and there was no problem with... More
