Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This little square is as charming in winter as it is all year long.
Had the fountain been working would've made it even more picturesque than it is.

I just wanted to warn everyone about the outdoor bar called "Corso Cocktail Bar" at Vigado Square, 2 in Budapest. I am an experienced traveller and I was horrified to realize that I had been charged 40euros for two cups of coffee. The waitress confused us by telling us a different price than was on our bill (telling us how much we should be leaving for a tip- well over 30% by her standards) and in this situation we handed her a 10,000 forint note in place of a 1,000. She looked at it, smiled a big grin, stuck it in her wallet and thanked us warmly and then split! The following morning when we realized what had happened we returned to the bar. Upon seeing us approach, the waitress first tried to turn and hide and then denied having ever seen us. We did ask to speak to a manager and were directed to whom I believe was merely a bartender. Everyone present refused to give us their names. Needless to say, we did not get our money back.
The bar is very easily recognized- right across from the publicity tables for the various boat cruises and the tram 2 stop, it has tables around a tented bar area with a round neon sign "Cocktails".

Nice square in the city center, on the Pest side of the Danube. Hold your camera ready, because the World Heritage sites include the Budapest Danube panorama! Nearby you can get up to tram 2 which go this route. The Vigadó is a 19h century beautiful building with a hall for cultural and entertainment events.

Vigadó is a lovely square in Pest, just by the danube.
There's a big and impressive concert hall in the square and also a lovely classic fountain.

A nice little square in front of the Vidago building, next to Marriott Budapest. There are several interesting statues as well as a small nice fountain.

This is a beautiful little square, located on the Danube river Pest bank.
The concert hall at the back of the square and the lovely fountain in its middle, make this picturesque square a photo-op gem.

Just been to the restaurant. Order all wrong. No one bothered. Drinks wrong, no one came near or by. Bill extortionate, and no change offered or given. Give it a wide berth
