The opera is under construction and nearly completely under a white cover. However it said it was open for tours and performances.

The main auditorium of the opera house is currently under renovation (till 2019/ 2020). But, the opera house has adjusted the guided tour structure to accommodate for this. Instead of visiting the auditorium we will be treated to a 15 minute mini opera concert. We...More

The Opera is under renovation so we almost passed up this venue. Luckily my wife persisted and we went for the tour. While we didn't get to see the main performance area, the rest of the spaces were very nice to see. Our tour guide...More

It is renovating. So, even though you take a guided tour you are not allowed to the main stage. But, still it is a unique experience.

This opera house has a twin in Vienna and the two are both quite beautiful. I believe this one is slightly smaller, but the interior in no way disappoints. Love the original flooring, and our guide pointed out how to tell the difference between real...More

It is the main hall which is the most impressive one but unfortunately it is closed for restoration. They decided to combine the interiors restoration with the exterior so everything is covered, really there is nothing to admire. Since we were there, we took the...More

Went on a tour with Tauck - the interior and exterior of the actual opera house was under construction. The only redeeming part of the tour was a mini performance by a man and woman on the staircase - otherwise, there was not much to...More

It is only possible to walk around the bottom floor without the tour. Don't recall how much we paid but felt it was reasonable.
