Obviously, this is the place where you can enjoy the best view in Budapest. There's a cafe in the tower and they have an open terrace. I recommend that you should begin your own walking tour from the Buda Caste to here.

This is worth the trip up the hills on the Buda side of the city just to see the views across the river and of the pest side. Let alone the great architecture that was on display here. Worth the walk up to here or join a walking tour and visit here on route. Enjoy

Visited March 2015 & it was magical. Day time was blue skies & sunshine & night time was all lights & twinkles. Stunning to look at & to look from across the Danube

We enjoyed a great morning walking around this location with our guide. She provided valuable information about Fishermans Bastion and the surrounding area. Its the Buda side and well worth the visit.

This is a restored area with good views of the Danube and Pest side of the city. The architecture is very pretty as well. When going to the Buda castle area, definitely go here for pictures.

Walked up to the Fisherman's bastion - it does get crowded and is very touristy - but the views are stunning. There are plenty of cafes etc., to eat and drink and a Restaurant/Bar with fab 360 panorama views. A must visit.

This amazing structure allows for some wonderful views of the city. It is well maintained and close to the Mathias Church. It is easy to reach by going up the funicular near Adam Clark Ter.

This is one of those places you simply can't miss in Budapest. Best view of the whole city as it allows you an unimpeded view of the whole panorama

Took the Vernacular up to the top, amazing views and easy to visit the art gallery if that interests you. We turned right and we're wowed by the beautiful church towers and cobbled streets. Lots of lovely places to eat. A must see.

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
