We caught the NO. 2 tram today, the sign @ the stop told us how much, which we had ready in our hand, & because you can hop on through any of the doors, we thought a conductor must come through to take our money....More

This line is a piece of history, along with its vehicles. It goes along the Danube river and is quite popular with tourists.

Just an old Tram. But as it follows the river take it. It's the best way to go from Maragarethe Bridge as far south as you want and hop on off wherever a sight is. 5 min frequency. Look for correct ticket to hop on...More

District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube,
with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The
Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica
stand out as two of the finest examples of
architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for
more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval
city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while
the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention
