Taste Hungary's combined all-day city tour with Insight Cities was among THE most memorable days we've ever experienced! We booked a private tour to be able to reverse the tour order--usually culinary walk in the morning, history in the afternoon--to capitalize on momentum from the hotel breakfast. This was an additional fee, but well worth the planning. Esther met us... More

We greatly enjoyed our time learning about the Budapest Jewish Quarter with Endre. He is an extremely knowledgable guide and very easy to chat with. We tried traditional Jewish foods and especially enjoyed the chance to ask many questions about Hungarian history. Endre clearly had great rapport with the various shopkeepers we interacted with and we were able to move... More

My wife and two teenage daughters and myself had a great time, walking and shopping in the Central Market. Took a cab back to the guide's small apartment where we cooked a simple but delicious meal. Lots of good food and it was fun to spend time with a local.

This was an amazing way to taste the local cuisines and get acquainted with Budapest. We did the Culinary walk starting in the amazing central market. We tried the local alcohol, local pizzas, cold meats and pickles in the markets. There was so much food. Do not each breakfast!! Our guide Gabby was lovely and had a lot of knowledge.... More

My husband and I were in Budapest for only 2.5 days and took both the Buda Food Walk and Budapest Grand Walk. Wow. Balint met us in Buda for the Food Walk and we got to feel real life happening around us as we ate our way through coffee, pastries, palinka, the best ever mangalica, Hungarian comfort food, mineral water... We spent the day with Evie, who was an incredible guide. The food was exceptional and so plentiful. The only thing I would change about this trip is the advance information - don't eat breakfast before - there is so much food, you won't need it! Incredible value and so much fun.

My friend and I traveled to Budapest for a weekend and since we only had under 72 hours, we wanted to make the most of our time. We took 2 tours - the Budapest Grand Walk and the Culinary Walk, and both were excellent! The Culinary Walk let us experience the Market Hall along with a couple other places, while... More

We met the guide in the good halls and heard a great deal about the local food and drink. We tasted a variety if delicious Hungarian foods and got tips on what to buy. We then visited a restaurant, chocolate shop and coffee shop ( which was amazing!). Finally we had a relaxing walk through an interesting neighbourhood to the... More

My husband and I went back and forth on booking this tour, mainly based on the price. Food in Budapest is extraordinarily inexpensive compared to other European cities (we went to a Michelin starred restaurant and spent less than $150 for two including cocktails, a bottle of wine, and gratuity). However, at the end of the Culinary Walk tour, we... More

Such a good start to our stay in Budapest which set us up for the rest of our trip. This was a surprise I had booked for my cousin who is Vegan & who can sometimes struggle & feel that she has to compromise. We had the lovely Zsofia as our tour guide & really enjoyed her company, she was... More
