About
The Thermal Beer Spa is located inside Széchenyi Spa, so you have two options available to enjoy this doubly intoxicating dip. You can either enter the Széchenyi Spa in the usual manner buying a valid ticket (or book online with us for a combined ticket!), then buy the extra ticket for the Beer Spa. Or if you're feeling like you'd prefer just a soak in alcohol-filled tubs, you can enter without going to Széchenyi too. Look out for our hosts wearing green at any of the three entrances to the building & they will be happy to help you with whichever choice. There are six tubs and two people can soak in each of them, so they aren’t only perfect for relaxation but also if you want to do something memorable on a first date!

There is nothing to say except it’s worth every penny (florint/euro/Stirling) There is a real feel good factor that comes by being treated as a VIP. And the beer is great too. - Jess & Josh🐚🩵Quintana Roo, Mexico425 contributionsThe BEST ExperienceI can’t express how good this experience was. My girlfriend planned this surprise for my 22nd birthday and I think it was perhaps the best thing I’ve done. We were served by Szilárd Sörfürdő who was really helpful and showed us around the baths. We both had a tub to ourselves but they did offer one for us to share; they are too small for 2 people haha. We had 45 mins of unlimited beer from the Czech Craft Brewery (really good lager in my opinion). They explain which ingredients go in the tub and you basically bathe in malt hops and salt (no you can’t drink the water). They also gave us some little snacks to enjoy with the beer and after our time was up the woman let us pour one last glass to enjoy in the waiting room which was very nice. Included with this was a full day entry to the Szechenyi Thermal Baths and changing room/locker so we could store all our belongings there for the day. 10/10 experience and a must do! Loved the things put in the bath for a comfortable spa! the beet on tap was great and relaxing. the water was lush and the bath comfortable. Wish it was actually an hour experience. Only downside was privacy as people would come to the place to look around and could see us. (wasn't an issue) but would if was a romantic place maybeVisited May 2024Travelled soloWritten 22 May 2024

This experience is great for a bit of a novelty factor but it’s a complete rip off with very poor service.
We visited having pre booked and wasn’t aware of having to bring own towels (they do tell you on booking in small print which admittedly I missed) but on the multiple reminders they send it’s conveniently not put in so they can charge you £10 for what I can I only describe as a large cheap flannel.
There were two people on reception, a guy who was extremely rude and offhand with everyone who just ruined our experience. He seemed very stressed out and took it out on the visitors including us by shouting. There was another lady who was much friendlier and maybe if there were two of her our experience would be a little better.
The baths themselves are ok, the beer is okay (I think it is a very low alcohol content) but the place feels tired and shabby.
Then the guy came in to tell us our time was up, and because we didn’t stand up straight away he came back 1minute later gesturing and staring at us to move.
A conveyerbelt operation which is really over priced for what it is, made worse by one extremely rude member of staff. Would not recommend! Spend the money elsewhere in beautiful Budapest.

We both thought we would be immersed in beer……otherwise calling it a beer spa is strange. We used the beer spa at Szechenyi baths and it would have been better value to grab a drink at the restaurant and get in the thermal outdoor spa. Plus…I don’t drink beer….

The Beer spa experience was definitely the highlight of the day. We got the pass for the beer spa and the main spa and really enjoyed the beer spa. We shared a locker room which was more than enough for both of us (see photo). The beer was low abv but tasty and the novelty of it was fun. The service was excellent.
They don't rent shower shoes and you have to bring your own towel. They let us wear our Keens but they should really just rent the shoes and take the extra income. my $.02

What a fantastic experience. We spent a good 3 hours in the Thermal spa then headed off for some beer in the beer spa. Great fun experience and great way to meet other people ...the beer gets you talking :-) Drink as much as you want...then ask for a cheeky one when your time is up ( you get 45 minutes) and you can drink it in teh waiting area.

Unmissable! Friendly and helpful staff, attentive to any need.
We booked a couple's thermal beer route on site, we were welcomed by Réka who provided us with very precise information in this regard, helping us to make the booking. Once the Spa started, he described its operation to us step by step, making us feel truly at ease.
Truly a unique experience, worth doing if you are on site. The greatest strength, beyond the excellent unlimited local beer, is the staff.
Thanks Réka and Szilárd :)

The beer spa was great! We skipped the long queues for tickets for the main spa and were taken into a special area, shown our changing cabin and then into the beer spa room. There were 4 baths set up, but it was quite dark lighting so even though there were 3 other couples in the room it still felt quite private. Loved the bubbly water and wooden bath and it was great fun pulling your own pints of beer!! After the 45 mins were up we went on to enjoy all of the other facilities in the spa complex!

After 45 minutes in the tub, you feel very relaxed and satisfied. The Bohemian beer complements the good feeling. The staff at reception and on site were friendly, the changing rooms and the area around the bath were clean. The price is appropriate for the extent of the treatment.

Visited Lukács Beer Spa today. Super experience. The place was very clean and hygienic. It was also nice to go somewhere away from the crowds of tourists. Would recommend to anyone visiting Budapest.

Hi, looking to come Budapest next year and considering my husband loves a beer this beer spa would b ideal… I have noticed there are 2 beer spa’s. So just a few questions: What one is better? Best way to book? Need to take own towel and shoes? Is there places to store belongings? Any advice would be great thank you

Ciao cristiano. Bisogna prenotare l'ingresso alla Széchenyi Spa e per la vasca della birra?

I am in town with my husband and kids. Can I come with the kids? Is there anything for them to entertain themselves?
Written 28 July 2020
Yes, the Beerspa is free for kids. We provide non alcoholic malt drinks to them. The BeerSpa is a lot's of fun even without the beer. Kids tend to enjoy it a lot also.
See you around The Beerspa Team

I have made a booking for 11am. What time should I arrive?
Written 15 February 2020
As long as you know where you are going, if you get there 10-15 minutes early that'll be time to pay, get the quick rundown and stow your stuff in a locker or cabana if need be! That said, your beer spa ticket gets you entrance to ALL the baths, so you can go as early as you'd like and meander around until your appointment! :)

Can anyone advise on the hygiene of the beer spa?
Booked combi tickets for Saturday and now just been told not to go to the baths because you can get unwell.
Are the beer spas run separately do I need to be concerned about hygiene we obviously don't want to get unwell.
Any help much appreciated
Written 26 November 2019
Beer spa is separate, it is a company within the main public baths.
Written 26 November 2019
Do you need to buy flip flops here? Are they mandatory?
Written 5 November 2019
Not at all but I would recommend them, lots of people going around both inside and out. Flip flops and towels are the only things you want in the spa. Everything else should be locked away.
