we went to Postojna and Skocjan caves on the same day. Unfortunately it is impossible to go both and an addituonal Postojna Castle on the same day if you do not rent a car or a private tour, so we passed th Castle. Both caves...More

It was a amazing place to be at. The nature of the rocks and stones (limestones), how it formed. You will need to take a Tram ride in, which the tram ride is the most fun of them all. I recommend you to go to...More

Here’s my take as a cane walker with difficulties with stairs and such. I was completely impressed with the non-slip path. I wish the world was made of this substance, no slips for me in the cave! From the moment I was on the train...More

I wanted to see a cave on my Slovenia trip and I am glad I choose this one. It was well organized and worth the price of admission. Get your reservation online before you go, as we wanted a later time, but looked the night...More

The caves are spectacular, and are visually stunning. The tour guides 'talk' was so infantile it made me utterly frustrated. I do not want to be told 'here is a stalagmite that looks like a rhinocerous, and here is one that looks like a camel....'...More

The Postojna Caves are the second largest complex in Europe, at about 24 Km in length. About 4.5km are open to the public, with half consisting of a walk through and the balance via a train. Although the formations inside are truly magnificent, I would...More

We have been in many caves around the world, but this one was a little unique. There are "trains", open air, long, two seat trains that whisk you at a fast pace down into the depths for several kilometers. This is a real "Disney" ride....More

We caught the train from the city to the Caves and it was well worth it, worth knowing that when you arrive at the town you still actually have a 20min walk to the Caves, we weren't told that, the ticket officer on the train...More

Good activity for a hot day. Thanks to the train you can passe the first chambers to spend more time in more interesting caves. It follows a one hour visit with a guide or an audioguide. Big black spot: the people... too many tourists at...More

We mostly walked about on our own in terms of guidance, the tour guide said very little, although he was able to answer questions. The caves are exceptionally cool but a shuttle bus DOESN’T run between there and the castle until July despite what other...More

Hi, the tour of Postojna Cave takes 90 minutes. There are also other attractions in the Park: Vivarium, EXPO cave karst exhibition, Predjama Castle that are worth of visit. Welcome!

Hello, I wouldn't recommend it, because you will be in little train sometimes, so you will be struggling with that. Also the terrain is ok but stiff. So many ups and downs.
