For 2 euros it's worth the walk up to see. Once you're on the wall you have a great view of the town and water.

I walked to the walls and felt incredibly small standing next to them. They are very well maintained. You can go on them and explore the towers but I didn't as I figured the view would be about the same as the bell tower.

It’s a bit of an uphill hike...but the view are totally worth it...it costs a couple of euros to climb up the few meters of the remaining section...

Piran itself is a quaint little town protruding into the sea. The town walls are a great way get a view of the town and the Trieste bay. You can see Trieste Italy quite clearly.

I believe that is logical that in the city center tourists can't ride with their cars...

Basically you can. But I would not do it. When we were there it was always overcrowded with no free space. And you have to pay a fee for entering the town first. But if you really have to you may find your way around. Good... More
