Quite a small, but well kept botanical garden, in a green part of Ljubljana beneath the castle hill. The entrance is free, but there is a small fee entering the greenhouse. Getting there by bus is a little bit difficult, since in is between 2...More

Ljubljana Botanic Garden is historically important (for Slovenia) but not such a big venue in late summer. Yes, it is small and yes, it was dried in the middle of August. But its location close to Ljubljanica river makes a great escape from lively touristic...More

This is not your typical botanical garden. There are more park areas than specimens. The whole park is not large. Tyhe rose garden is very small. The greenhouse is a highlight, but not on a hot humid day.

Cute little park. Very very small. I.like it also because you can buy plants there, of herbs, flowers etc. It is most beautiful in spring when it is covered with charming flowers. It has a cafe and few parking places.

While Ljubljana is a very green city the botanic garden remains a true oasis. This is my favorite spot in Ljubljana and keep coming back in all seasons.
