Barbara was our spectacular tour guide and she led us on a walking tour all over the old town of The capital of Slovenia. She was very intelligent, captivating and caring of us as a group and I can not give her higher marks. The Dragon Bridge was very interesting and Barbara told us some amusing stories about it too.

Just one of the amazing sights in this city. Make sure to have enough memory space on camera because it is needed here as so so many beautiful sights.

Due to history of the dragon in Ljubljana, it's a site to see. It's at the end of town on the side of the market.

The sculptures are very nice and accessible to look and take pictures. You have lots to see, drink and eat on the surrounding. Recommend to have lunch or dinner and walk around.

Before leaving Ljubljana, and on our way to old town from Ljubljana castle, my girlfriend and I walked to this bridge located just at the end - or at the beginning depending on where you come from - of the local fresh market. There are several sculptures on the bridge and a plaque which explains that the bridge was built... More

This was opened in 1901 and forms a road bridge across the river. It is made of reinforced concrete and a superb example of Art Nouveau architecture. When Ljubljana was part of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, it was called the Jubilee Bridge of Emperor Franz Josef, but renamed in 1919. The 4 sheet copper winged dragons look terrifying and stand on... More

This is one of many bridges crossing the river Ljubljanica but it has an interesting history, being Ljubljana's first reinforced concrete structure and one of the largest bridges of it's type in Europe when it was constructed just over 100 years ago. It is very distinctive with it's Art Nouveau detailing and the iconic Ljubljana dragons guarding each corner. The... More

The bridge itself attracts most of the tourists because of the fact that statues of dragons not only represent the symbol of Ljubljana (it's even on its coat of arms), but that it has gained the status of the city cult, due to its unusual attraction. The architecture of the bridge is nothing special, but the statues give to it... More

the bridge decorated, adorned with the dragon statues, and appears to me like a symbol of the Old town of beautiful city Ljubljana. Understand it was built over a centrury ago, in 1901, and seems so populer and all the tourist, especially from far east stopping and taking photos over there. It is so close the Triple Bridge and the... More
