A very famous and beautiful cathedral in the center . First s gothic architecture but in beginning of 18 century transformed to baroque. Look at the bronze entrance door commemorating the visit of the pope in 1996 .

We were stunned by this place, we attended a Holy Mass in this cathedral and it was unforgettable. We loved it.

Classic Catholic Church with very large bronze- like doors. Recommend a quick visit. Individually rated 3 stars although the overall rating for the area is 5 stars.

Set in the clustered old town area, the actual front of the cathedral has maybe 15 feet to the next building, which is the Archbishop's residence. Side views, from either the river side of or the open air market can't show the beauty and majesty...More

The cathedral in the middle of old town is truly incredible. The paintings and architecture is amazing. The organ pipes are also great

Even if you traveled all over Europe and walked through hundreds of churches, this one will take your breath away. The interior colors and especially the pipe organ ensemble are stunning.

My nephew was married here- the couple traveled back to Slovenia from the USA (she a Slovenian girl). From the outside it looks rather unimpressive, but on the inside there is nothing but grandeur.

The bronze doors alone are worth your trip. Be sure to see them all - not just the entrance. This is a stunning beauty with history galore. Would be best with a guide to tell you about the stories on the doors (you may recognize...More

The.most beautiful church in Ljubljana. The most important too. Outside it is.nothing special-well apart of the gorgeous door. But.inside it is a gem, baroque gem. Also interesting for people interested in organ playing.
