Situated in the very heart of Ljubljana, Old Square represents an authentic and amazing architectural style of Ljubljana. You can admire its beauty just by walking around, and you will be amazed, if you are into old squares.

Old square is street between Shoemaker’s bridge and Hercules’s fountain (hidden in winter). On left and right you can admire Baroque, art nouveau and other historic buildings with different shops and restaurants as Romeo or Valvasor. Best choice is Tea house near the bridge and on the other side ŠKUC gallery with different exhibitions and performances. Square is less colorful... More

This is a beautiful square, giving access to Gornji Trg which in itself is a highly interesting street with many worthwhile shops and restaurants, notably Restaurant Spajza on nr. 28.

This part of the old town is slightly less busy than the centre (near the town hall and the Triple Bridge) but is still worth a visit. Many old buildings to admire and of course a good selection of shops, cafes and restaurants. It connects to Mestni trg so easy to walk to (and the absence of traffic helps with... More

I used to go there many times before the last visit since I lived there. I love the people there to give us the time to decide no rushy feelings. Good quality food there also

Nice part of old town - with not so many people as there are less restaurants and shops than around river banks... NIce for a short walk, also option for climbing the castle hill...

I love this part of town. Old architecture, lovely coffee shops with outside seating even in winter and access to the castle trail from the square as well

While staying in Old Town Ljubljana we were acts Ly staying in Stari try. The Old Town Square was only 200m from our apartment. This whole area had an air of authenticity about it, clean and quiet. A very photogenic location, interesting building, columns and fountain. Definitely worth a look if you are in Ljubljana.

this square is situated in the area of the town hall, it has a nice statue, the houses around it give you a good impression and atmosphere.
