Even though this monument is a replica of an original fountain, which is now situated in the National Gallery, it still bears its full beauty. Since it's placed in the city centre you can't (and must not) miss it, due to its importance to the city of Ljubljana. It's really lovely!

This beautiful fountain is a focal point of the Old Town. Designed by Francesco Robba, a Venetian sculptor who lived in Ljubljana for most of his life, the fountain is surmounted by an interesting triangular obelisk with Baroque figures at its base. The setting for the fountain makes it exceptionally photogenic. This fountain is a copy. You can see the... More

Baroque Fountain of three Carniolan rivers Sava, Krka, Ljubljanica was built by very famous Italian sculptor Francesco Robba. It is made of white marble and is one of city's most recognisible symbols. Here is now a replica, the original is in National gallery.

The real deal is in the gallery not far away, but the copy is close enough to Francesco Robba's original work. It's right in the center of Ljubljana, a Lovely fountain and you can even dip your fit in in the summer. :)

It's a nice statue and very symbolic of the city. Note the fingers on the hands of the figures - the two middle fingers together are the signature of the artist and can be seen in many other works round the city. The statue in the square is a recent copy due to damage on the original which has been... More

The sculpted figures have been cleaned Ned are glistening white. Lovely. The column is still dark but isn't a pleasant contrast. Close to the town hall.

Impressive scale and modern design provides plenty of space for the exhibits, which span 800 years. Don't miss the permanent Music exhibition. Pleasant cafeteria
