Description:

Vogel is one of the most beautiful and popular ski resorts in the winter,...

Vogel is one of the most beautiful and popular ski resorts in the winter, and the most popular high mountain centre in other seasons. Our slogan “Vogel. Like a Fairy Tale.” is the perfect description of our resort in every season of the year, and we plan to increase our profile with it and give our visitors this fairy-tale feeling. We are determined to seize the opportunities offered by our location in the heart of the Triglav National Park (TNP). Vogel cable car takes you to 1535 metres above sea level throughout the year (except during the maintenance periods). In this way viewpoints high in the mountains are easily accessible and also make an excellent starting point for hikers. You can choose from single or return cable car tickets. The cable car can transfer up to 950 people per hour. The Orlove glave quad chairlift also operates during the summer season (mid-June to end of September) and provides a single or a return ride in the pleasantly refreshing summer climate. It stops at the top of Orlove glave with a paragliding take-off point close by.

My family and I have visited Mount Vogel today. It was a very nice experience. The weather was good, the air was clean and the view amazing. I recommend taking the ski lifts further up. There you can enjoy some more of the great view and do an easy walk down. The experience is suitable for children.

The Vogel cable car takes visitors up to the Vogel Ski Center which is at an altitude of 5036 feet. The views of Lake Bohinj and the surrounding mountains are superb. There is a restaurant at the summit called Viharnik which serves coffee, soft drinks, cakes, sandwiches and fast food. It has a large wooden terrace which is great for... More

We visited on a sunny morning in July and very much enjoyed walking at the top taking in the beautiful views and watching the birdlife. The views of Lake Bohinj down below were spectacular. I thought the fee for the cable car was a little high but I expect running costs are high. The trip up in the cable car... More

During the summer the views back down over lake Bohinj are the highlight! The views are truly amazing and so worth the trip up! But even during the summer, when the snow is gone, there are many nice circuits on the mountain. The way up on the cable car can be harsh but it only takes 4-5 minutes and it... More

We visited during July, so the snow had gone, but it did mean that there were lots of walking paths open. Terrific views of the valley and Lake Bohinj

Tram goes every 30 minutes. Be prepared for some waiting and queues. We were surprised about speed, it took only 7-9 minutes to get up. Nice views. We had some walk here and there. It is possible to but ticket only up and walk down using marked trails. Maybe would have done it if we would know about such possibility.

We visited the ski center on it's 52nd anniversary. There was music, the ski lift to the Orlove Glave was free, it was a very fun ride. Even when there is no snow, there is a lot of things to do. Biking, trekking, climbing. Along the roads there were food stands which sold their most popular dishes, the food was... More

Did not really plan to go with the aerial tram, but saw the signs next to the road in Bled and got curious. We bought a return ticket, which costs 14 EUR for an adult. The tram goes every 30 minutes and takes you in 8-10 minutes from around 500 to 1500 meters. The view from the top was amazing!... More

It was a scenic ride up in the Cable car, and about 3 mins. The top was beautiful, well maintained, and had a Cafe and toilet facilities. Excellent schnappes available besides the usual local delicacies . The slopes in summer are mud and stones, but still offers n exciting view of the mountains and pristine forests. A must see, if you... More

As someone who is not that keen on heights, I feel like writing this is capitals as I not only got to the top by gondola but caught the further chair lift to get even higher!! Get me! Seriously though, the journey up only takes 4 mins and it felt safe and secure. The views back down over Lake Bohinj... More
