Description:

Vogel is one of the most beautiful and popular ski resorts in the winter,...

Vogel is one of the most beautiful and popular ski resorts in the winter, and the most popular high mountain centre in other seasons. Our slogan “Vogel. Like a Fairy Tale.” is the perfect description of our resort in every season of the year, and we plan to increase our profile with it and give our visitors this fairy-tale feeling. We are determined to seize the opportunities offered by our location in the heart of the Triglav National Park (TNP). Vogel cable car takes you to 1535 metres above sea level throughout the year (except during the maintenance periods). In this way viewpoints high in the mountains are easily accessible and also make an excellent starting point for hikers. You can choose from single or return cable car tickets. The cable car can transfer up to 950 people per hour. The Orlove glave quad chairlift also operates during the summer season (mid-June to end of September) and provides a single or a return ride in the pleasantly refreshing summer climate. It stops at the top of Orlove glave with a paragliding take-off point close by.

We visited Vogel during our summer visit to Slovenia. The cable car to Vogel, near lake Bonhinj followed by the chair lift at the top was brilliant. We would not have known it was there is if wasn't for our accommodation telling us about it. Fabulous views on a sunny day of the Julian Alps and a great way to... More

We took the cable car up (which we thoughtwas quite expensive) and hiked to Vogel. Really nice hike with awesome views!

Catch the Gondola to the upper entrance. 14€ per person on Spt. 2016 Up there you'll find many trails ranging from 60 min up to couple of hours. Great view and fresh air.

Take gondola to the top. Very nice restaurant at top with outdoor seating available. If weather permits, do sit outside. Fresh air is amazing. Looking down the mountain you get a 360 degree view. There's also a walking trail. I saw a wedding in progress while there.

A quick ascent by Gondola brings you to the building which houses a restaurant and a viewing platform. The hotel was closed when we visited. Options are hiking and mountain biking and both can be facilitated by using the chairlift which will carry bikes so that you can cycle down. It's also a jumping off point for hang gliders.

My visit was in September but it was to check out the skiing for the next season and its looking good for intermediate skiing. However, the mountain is wonderful any time of year and a hive of activity now with the mountain biking and dedicated course, walking of course, zip wire and parascending. There are incredible views of Triglav and... More

I only visited the center in August, so there was no snow. Nevertheless, the cable car trip up and down the resort is definitely worth it. The views of Lake Bohinj and the Julian Alps is simply stunning and there are also a number of walks you can take while up there.

The gondola ride is well worth it to see the views of lake Bohinij. In the summer was disappointed there was not so many birds up there but still an experience not to be missed.

The ride up above lake Bohinj is good. It's 10 euros one way, 14 return. The cafe at the top served good, and surprisingly cheap coffee. We didn't eat there but the food other people had looked decent. We took a one way trip in order to hike back down to the start. The "hiking trail" back down materialised to... More

What views! even in summer this place can occupy you and kids for at least half a day. We went primarily cause my kid 7 years old wanted to do the zip slide, but she wasn't allowed due to age and they weren't apologetic about refusing her either, we seemed to be annoying them. She covered all the requisites apart... More
