Beautiful natural challenges as a medium difficulty, which requires climbing 400 steps and of course the decrease back. At the end of the route showing the waterfall was spectacular.

This is not a remarkable waterfall, though it is in a remarkable place. The Lake Bohinj area is one of our favorite places in Europe. Certainly our favorite vacation spot in Slovenia. But "Slap Savica" is not one of its key attractions. It is a...More

11km from Bohinj lake, 4km from Vogel ski point. There is free parking, nice wooden restourant and marked trekking roads. The entrance to the trek is 3 euros per person. We need more than 20 minutes walk up to the stairs because we had lot...More

Savica waterfall is a very good and nice destination if you are in Bohinj region. The autoroute is very tortuous and narrrow so be careful and watch the oncomming traffic (especially the buses). The parking is not free, you need to pay 3 EUR. Then...More

After driving to Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj, we decided to stop at Savica Waterfall. It was about a 20 minute walk to the waterfall and quite pretty to see but probably not worth the entrance fee. I've seen a lot of waterfalls across the...More

My husband and I were unsure about making the 500+ step trek up the trail to Savica. We are senior citizens and of average fitness and weren’t sure how we would do. We made it with many stops along the way to catch our breath,...More

We drove past the western shore of Bohinj beyond Ukanc, to access this waterfall formed as a result of overflowing from heavy rainfall in the karst area around Crno Jezero. It’s a leisurely 20 minute walk through a forest trail (a prepared/paved surface for the...More

The area around the lake is beautiful. Carparking is chargeable. The entry fee is too expensive for what you get. Overall the waterfall was below expectation.

Savica fall is easy to reach, an easy walk up 500 stairs. Fall is lovely and the view from up there towards Bohinj lake and valley is breathtaking. Worth going up there

As mention not very impressive height wise but , still magnificent view of green clean water and the notorious busy platform was fairly accessible at mid September. Climbing is a bit of a challenge in a hot September day.

Savica may not be the most amazing waterfall, but if you are in the are it makes sense to see it. You have to climb some steps for 20 mins and pay 3€ to park the car + 3€/pp for entrance. The color of the...More

Good waterfall, not great waterfall. But definitely worth going to if you’re at Lake Bohinj. (This is coming from someone who’s seen Niagra Falls, Yosemite, and even Plitvice in Croatia). The waterfall is relatively small (granted, this was late summer not spring) – but regardless,...More
