A beautiful gorge despite busy crowds on a hot summer's day. Get there early, we arrived at 11 and queued for 30minutes due to the solo kiosk taking their time, though to be fair this unplanned bottleneck probably helps to control the volume of people...More

Vintgar gorge is one of the places I like most. Clean blue green river flowing and you can walk next to it. Very refreshing in the hot summer days. Best to visit before or after the high season - that is the end of June...More

Once you find the car park which is well signed from Lake Bled the attendants and staff make the rest easy. Decent toilet facilities and shop at entrance. The attraction is a walkway along a steep gorge ending up about a mile away at the...More

Vintgar Gorge is easily accessible from Bled, whether by bike, bus (€1) or on foot. In high season go early morning or late afternoon to avoid the crowds, or just after heavy rain, which I did. There is a raised walkway allowing you great views...More

Definitely worth a visit to see this natural spectacle of the power of water, the souring of the rocks and the fish and bird life along it. It is easily accessible by bus from Bled or by an hour and a half walk. The attraction...More

Walking through the gorge was beautiful, but it did not compare to the beauty of Plitvice Lakes as some other viewers had indicated. We took a bus from Bled to Podhom and then hiked up to the gorge through a small agricultural community. Seeing family...More

Very beautiful walk, slightly uneven ground but mostly wooden walkway and suitable for almost anyone. But heaving in July - so much that it detracts from the beauty of the river and the gorge. Come off season if you can

They had told us that it opens at 8am, but when we got there at 8 it was already open, and the ticket agent said it opens at 7. If I were you I would go at 7:30 - 7:45.
